Before I head out, quick question. Tried to install a "new" dead foot plate in my 2014 and cannot get it to "not" be in my way with the clutch. Banged the heck out of it with a rubber mallet. May try a hammer with some wood between the hammer and plate.

Suggestions? Read that the 2013 and 2014 added some material to that area the dead foot plate goes into.

Not easy for a "retired" person to get down on the ground/floor and swing away.
