JLT Catch Cans Installed, Sound Tube Removed
Just installed D/S & P/S catch cans. P/S was the easiest thing I've ever done in my entire life. Drivers side took about 20-25 minutes with some finagling. But they're in.
Took out the sound tube too. Plugged the fire wall hole with a master cylinder gasket and some clear silicone for added measure. Gotta hit Lowes to see if I can find a plug for the intake tube.

At Lowes the 1 1/4" Hillman Chrome Hole Plug ( Item # 139428 Model # 881271) snapped right in to the intake tube. $1.04 Gasket cost about $6.00. So in all it cost about $8.00 to do.

The "Sound Tube" is a hollow tube that brings engine intake noise into the cabin to give you the "sensation" of speed and power.
Yes you read that right. It is a factory deal.
They pipe the sound of the intake into the car so you can hear the intake.
If you install a CAI(Cold Air Intake) there is no provision for the sound tube so most leave it off.
It cleans up the engine compartment quite a bit by having it gone.
