Well that's good Dave. Guess there's another reason they all drove crown vics in the past, fewer people could pull the enthusiast card on them that way.
I had one pull over a car next to me today only doing a few mph over the limit, and maybe 1 or 2 faster than me. Cop must have been going over 100 to catch up from where he was parked. Thank goodness for the incognito powers of the Kia lol.

He just used the speeding as an excuse to do a level 2 inspection.
There are 3 levels of CM (Commercial Motor Vehicle) inspections that can be performed. But an officer cannot pull you over solely to do an inspection.
Level 1 is driver paperwork (license medical card etc). Level 2 is driver and equipment ppw (driver plus tractor/trailer registration, insurance etc.). Level 3 is comprehensive. They measure the thickness of brake pads, the throw on the brake slack adjusters, check tire pressures etc. Level 3 can take a couple of hours.
