Damn, if I had known this was going on I'd have come out for it; it's right up the road from me (you were about 3 miles from the house when you came through Franklinton). I had the Scooby all tied up by noon, plenty of time. There was a thing happening at the racetrack in Hillsborough this weekend, too, but I didn't get out there either.

Gotta get the setup first lol. I haven't painted anything either but maybe in the next 5 years if you can wait that long. I've got a guy who will trade an air compressor for a paint job so all I need is a building and some sprayers.

After gutting the ranger this weekend I never want to change a car color unless it's being rebuilt anyway, all those push tabs and wiring retainers to paint the engine bay are a PITA and I'm not even tracking them for reassembly!

I used to love spraying paint when I worked at the bodyshop. I frick'n hated rust repair and working with body filler. I don't have "the touch" to just feel out the highs and lows.

Rust wasnt too bad unless you're welding to it. After working bondo I have to agree with you, pain in the butt and not a lot of working time.
