I agree about the gears. The guy says 65 is 2800 rpm. I just don't know if I can drive that slow.

Clint, that's kind of the price I started looking at, but I'm finding for a couple of thousand bucks, I can find one lifted, wheels and tires, bumpers, etc. Lots of work done anyway, not sure how I feel about that.

I paid 6 for mine. If I was a patient man I could have found one cheaper but the TJ's seem to hold a little more value than the YJ's.

I'd make sure to drive it in every DD scenario you could think of, we didn't do that on my brother in laws and got death wobble on the way home. Too many people around here slap parts on it and jack up the price on CL. Just depends on what you find I guess.

Those are some good points. Must take a modified Jeep down the highway.
Colorado doesn't have humidity like you guys. So rust is probably actually less of an issue here.
I just know that if I buy a stock Jeep, I will spend more and more modifying it. But if I buy one that's set up nicely, yeah right. I can always supercharge it.

Here's an option that's super cheap. But looks like it needs some TLC.

Or this one that's would be ready to roll of 9 (might need a little touch up paint though)

I'd stay away from the 4cyl. Models.

That TJ looks decent. Lower mileage.

From what I've seen a sub 100k tj for less than 10k is a deal. Though I'd change out the auto really fast.

Definitely agree. My buddy has a 4 cylinder TJ (on 33s I think... heavy 33s) and boy does it have trouble going up hills.

Yeah I think I will steer clear of 4 cylinders. Didn't realze that was one til after I posted.

The only drawback of the 2002 is it doesn't have many baubles on it. I don't mind the auto. My almost 15 year old could drive it then.

I really like this one, but man, the 2002 is basically the same price with a/c, fuel injection, etc.

Wrangler......baubles? What baubles? There never were any baubles lol. My friend was looking at JKS and made a comment about wanting power windows.....told him that just makes the doors heavier when you take them off.
