Lol...she rode the Mission Space orange version very intense. And my 15 year old decided maybe he was still a kid at least a little.
We were there the week they first opened mission space and they have turned it down several times since then. When we rode it it only had one option.. The "holy s$@/" option. I don't remember the actual numbers but I remember them touting it as pulling 1 g more than an astronaut would have in an actual liftoff.
We were sick all day after riding it.
Don't quote me but I was thinking it was 4 Gs in the beginning and then they dropped it to 2.5.
I did it once and that was enough.

I road that with Autumn too....I think it was the lack of real motion that got to me as well..Of course I had to hold it together in front of Autumn....
All it is is a centrifuge.
It was the spinning that got us and apparently gets most people way more than the g forces.
Supposedly you pull more g's on some of the new roller coasters but it is limited to only a few seconds. Mission Space is sustained g's for about a minute.
It has changed tremendously since 1997 Alan. You might not recognize the place... Or the prices!
