Nope, for Thanksgiving we went non-traditional and had burgers, dogs, etc. a good ole fashioned July 4th outing instead. So, I'm after the traditional holiday meal.
Sounds like mine. We had tacos haha.

Checked out an F-150 today. Thoughts and discussion? I know I was looking at Raptors a while back, but it sounds like the regular 5.0 is faster...

It might be. I think the F150 is more of a work truck and the occasional offroader. (Weather you get the ecoboost or 5.0) Where the Raptor is more of a offroader and the occasional work truck. If I were to get a Raptor it would for sure be the 6.2 and not the 5.4.

The Raptor only comes with the 5.5 ft bed. That's the biggest drawback there. Would definitely go 5.0, don't think I would have much pulling power with the ecoboost.

My boss has a new F-150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost and loves it. He pulls his fishing boat, various trailers with no problem. He replaced an older GMC pickup with a 6ish liter and said the ecoboost pulls better and runs better. Ford saved about 900 lbs with the aluminum.

But as far as pulling, many won't put the demands on the truck you will. Pulling a boat occasionally vs. working a farm is quite a bit different.

Yeah the old GM 6 liter was pretty weak. I'll be moving out of the Duramax, so I'm thinking V8.

I would really like to get a Raptor, but I'm just not sure...Like you, mostly because of the short box. It's a tough one....

Chris,I have a 2015 with the ecoboost,I believe it has more power and torque then the 5.0 and the twin turbos sound nice

plus the 3.5 ecoboost, I believe has the best towing out of the ecoboost/5.0 engines. Love my F150
