Default 2000 Trans Am WS6 vs 2001 Mustang Cobra

Both of these cars are STOCK. I have a friend who has a 2000 WS6 Trans am thats stock and always bashes every car I get. He is one of those guys that is not mechanically inclined at all and looks at stock specs on every car acting like he knows everything. Well, im buying a 5 speed 01 Cobra tomorrow and putting new Centerforce Dual Friction clutch in it and throwout bearing. My car has magnaflow exhaust and x pipe, and lowered. All his car has is catted exhaust and possible a tuner (im not really sure if its tuned or not). Which car has the upper hand in the race?? His car is automatic and stock, no bolt ons, its LS1 with Ram air. Im wanting to shut him down so bad but dont want to make a fool out of myself because i know his car has a little more horsepower and puts more HP and torque to the ground. Any info will be helpful. My car is N/A

Well stock vs stock WS6 has 320 hp 345 ft lbs, 3400 lbs. 4 speed auto. 5.0 sec 0-60
Cobra has 320 hp 317 ft lbs, 3430 lbs, 5 speed manual, 5.4 sec 0-60. do the math.

Your pretty much done unless you have drag radials, which will amount to you getting him off the line and shock loading the drive train (bad). If he does have a tuner then its worse because he won't have the delay in the transmission that you could make up for with a manual.

Well he was posting **** on Facebook talking **** about POS Cobras again. I got on FB, called him out on it, and he said he would race me. He came over to my house and we went to the "clOsed course" cough cough. Right before we left our house, he told me that he had slick tires and he had a big speaker box in the rear. So we started with a 30 mph rOll, I beat him by 3 car lengths. He told me to pull over because apParently his automatic didn't shift!! We pulled over and he started making excuses. Got back on rd but instead he wanted to go from a 10 mph roll so we did, I spanked him by 2 car lengths. He was very pissed. Oh and my engine has a spun rod bearing and on its last leg, Pulling out that old engine and dropping in 03 Cobra engine next week

You're going to want to make your sig pic smaller or an unfriendly mod will go off on you for it. I speak from experience on that one haha. I think the size limitations are in the forum rules, but just letting you know.

EDIT: Saw your post about this exact topic in another thread haha. You'll need to take it into a photo editing program and just change the canvas size. If you can't figure it out from those instructions, tell me and I'll do it for you (easier to do than explain I'd say).
