The blower is under warranty and they are sending me the replacement parts to rebuild.... the clutch on the other hand will be expensive, but at least I will have use of the car. I just wont be running it at the track for a couple of months. It could have been a LOT worse, if the hub had come loose while driving (much less under boost) it could have gone straight through the hood. Luckily I went to a local cruise in Saturday night and when I popped the hood someone asked what happened to the belt. If it wasn't for that it coulda been bad!

Yep, spinning parts that aren't spinning where they are supposed to be can do a lot of damage. Years ago I had a car that the keyway split out on the end of the crank allowing the balancer to thrash around the front of the engine. It took out the radiator and hoses, all the belts and put a nasty dent in the hood.

Good luck and I'm sure you'll be eating Camaros in no time.

Good luck with the rebuild of Steve's next car, hopefully you will be making passes soon.

A local guy just had a clutch but in his GT500.. I won't post how much it cost him but I could have made about 6 months car payments for the same about of $$. But he didn't do it himself... and he's not a manager at Carquest so you might get out a lot cheaper Steve.

Yes, that does look like an intense ride!! Sorry it broke but glad it wasn't worse.
