Well, I haven't been around for a while as we've been moving at work to our new home at Lenovo. I also haven't done a damn thing to my car in what feels like forever, but I got a little upgrade today. The leather on my stock shift **** had been pealing a little and the other day I went to shift and the plastic silver inlay with the gear pattern was still stuck to my hand when I let go of the shifter!

Much to the amusement of some of my co-workers, I spent several hours reading and looking through options and finally found what I liked. It's a plain brushed stainless, weighted ball from Speed Dawg. Two inches in diameter which feels perfect in the hand, and one pound. The finish is top notch and it's a solid chunk of steel and has a brass adapter ring to fit on the stock threads (MGW with stock threads, of course), none of the plastic crap that some of the cheaper options came with. Definitely gives a more solid feel to shifting compared to the stock ****. I'm very pleased with the product.

So yeah... that's my excitement for the day. Just a plain ole shift ****, haha.
