Have you tried naptha or xylene to soften the stripe adhesive? Neither should hurt the paint and both should help.
Thanks Alan, I'll check those out.
I've done this 7 times prior and never had this hard of a time. I decided every flake of vinyl I can save is going into a bag, to be returned to the owner... lol

When I took mine off, I used a hair dryer. After I got all the vinyl off I used xylol. Did my RV a month or so ago, I used the hair dryer and a rubber vinyl eraser wheel. Honestly, the wheel was probably the best option I've found so far.
Andrew-I'm in Wake Forest now, so not too far.
we started up a Wake Forest Mustang group which meets every 2nd Saturday from 6p-9p.

Hah, that's where I moved from when I came over to this side of town. I was actually going to go to the last meet up, but it was still a little messy out and my car was terribly dirty so I skipped it. I'll see if I can make this one. I think I know about half the people that work at My Place anyway.
Good luck with that stripe job. That looks horrible and reminds me why I'll stick to detailing my own car only, haha.
John (tribefan) - Daniela's car looks great. Looking forward to seeing it. Can it get more classic than a red mustang???
Thanks. It does look sharp. Looks better in person since black wheels don't photograph well. Well, at least not with a phone camera. I'm sure you'll be seeing it soon.
