No trouble for Noreen :-)

I MIGHT do some exhaust work, but I don't want it to sound terrible. Might just go with a Nismo exhaust. I want it to be fairly quiet with a slight performance sound.

Me too, I think it's better to have a somewhat mild exhaust note....

Excuse me? LMAO!

You're a funny guy! Loud is good on a V8 Mustang, but not on a V6 :-)

Aarghh!!!

Guess I'll be working on gluing the rear window back into my convertible top...have to do it Saturday when the sun comes back out and it warms back up though. I have the glue and the instructions so I'm hopeful it will go well.

Default UPDATE!

Picked up this pony from a customer Saturday. Harold and I did a full detail on it last March but now the owner wants to go a different direction, so OFF with the stripes!

Here's a few BEFORE pics

and one of the reasons they need to go...

pulled up an edge on the hood, only to have the vinyl pull up the paint, prob from trapped water in a chip or incorrectly repaired touch-up spot

The vinyl is not agreeing with me (mostly because it's cheap), have tried sun baking, heat gun, edge pulling and eraser disc...sometimes it's co-operative, sometimes not.

The more i got into it, the more i had to pull apart.

So once i'm done removing the stripes and cleaning the residue, I still need to fix some paint damage on the passenger door and the passenger side mirror cover.
Then i can start repairing the chip on the hood and the normal spots under the rear wing, then wash, buff, polish, wax and seal...

So the other day at work I noticed someone removing window tint. Then i saw what they were using and thought...."Hmmm...I have one of those!" So got home and busted out the trusty steam cleaner!!
It's just the right temp for these stripes it seems.
This is where I'm at as of yesterday, just picking at it for a few hours after work each day

While the steamer is heating up, I've been running the eraser wheel on the rear end f the car, which is at least clean and mostly adhesive free.
Also, started fixing the passenger mirror cover which was marred with bird claw marks.
Here's a pic of the tougher areas after sanding them down with 2000 grit

and an after pic. I'm using a pretty aggressive cutting cream (has aluminum oxide in it) with a DA microfiber cutting pad (speed 5), then a slower pass with a less aggressive compound (speed 2) to smooth it out prior to polish and buffing

There's still 2 tiny little spots i'm not happy with, that look like they are past the paint and into the plastic. Will try to fill & blend those, but might need to repaint the covers.
