Default UPDATE #3

I don't normally encourage the use of Dawn to wash your car, but I needed the extra sodiums/sulfates properties in it to help remove any remaining dirt, trapped dirt under the stripes and left over residue from the stripes. Car was then wiped down with rubbing alcohol.
Now I have a clean slate to work with!

After washing...you can still see the outline from the stripes. Compound should even this out, or as a last result, a little edge sanding with 3000 grit.

Now onto the FUN stuff! Paint correction!
Well, much to my dismay, after all the cleaning and correcting in the stripe areas, I did a mist test (spraying water from 3ft above car and let it settle) and you could still see the stripe outline. Had to wet sand everywhere the stripes were (3000 grit) and recorrect the paint. Problem now is...the more i correct the paint, i'm finding spots where the stripe installer cut thru the vinyl and thru the paint.

Got that done and the passenger side of the car as well as repainting the damaged mirror cover

Uuuhhh...lol...I have side stripes already.
Ella said the same thing about her car and was asking me to take them off.
I'm also trying to convince the owner of this car to not put stripes back on, which he is planning on doing...

Welp, I was just finishing up the exterior, had to pull the car out of the garage to inspect it, but needed the dead battery charged.
Let the car sit and run for about 20min, came back outside to see smoke billowing out from under the hood. Battery seal broke. Thankfully i caught it in time before it did any damage. So now that's got to be replaced.

Anyhow...Exterior is done as well as the engine bay! All corrected, waxed, polished and sealed!

Don't forget the battery before you tell him to come pick it up! Hopefully a warranty replacement?

Been busy here for the last week. Roof is dried in, and this morning the wife and I added this little flower/shrub area to the side yard.

Is it a rock in the flower garden or a flower in the rock garden? Looks good, just in time for snow again Right?

Yeah, he was here yesterday when it happened, so he took the battery with him
