Downed a six pack today (I know there's only five in the picture but one is still in the gun). Finally broke down and bought a battery powered grease gun. Used it for the first time today.

Had a very busy weekend. I washed, clayed, buffed, glazed, sealed and waxed Daniela's car and also color matched her calipers and painted the hats of the rotors black to make them look nice. Had to get it all done before she got back from Italy. Overall, I'm happy with my first real attempt at buffing out a car. I got the swirls out and maybe some of the minor scratches, but there's still some scratches that are probably from car washes from the previous owner. Either they will require wet sanding or they might require a more aggressive compound than what I have and feel comfortable using. The compound I used was Chemical Guys V32. Please pardon the low-light phone pics.

I've never used the V32 but hear good things about it. I've had really good luck with the Meguiars 105/205 combo.
I use it with a Porter Cable 7424.

Thanks Alan. It does feel great, but at the same time part of me kind of feels like it was a waste since there's so many scratches I couldn't buff out, whether it was technique or products used.

I know the 105/205 combo is pretty popular. Alan recommended it to me too. I got 4oz sample bottles of the V series compounds/polishes with my Torq 10 buffer when I ordered it from Chemical Guys. Maybe I should look into some 105/205 of it is a better product line.

That was one planter. Thank goodness it's only once every ten days or so.

I used CG V34 compound and V38 polish recently. I liked both with the exception of the compound, cuts nicely but dries quickly. I had to keep a spray bottle with water to keep it working like I wanted it.
