Not sure of the date, most likely in the Pittsburgh, PA area. He did live in Indiana for a short time too. Owned a pool room at one time, neighborhood grocery store, ice plant and a parking lot. Quite a character.

Actually I read everything I can find.

Technically "garish" would refer to brightly colored or loud, but I'm using it here to describe fashion that is "way over the top".
