Just a thought, one of the carolina clubs is putting on a HPDE at Carolina Motorsports Parkway. 150 For the whole day, if youve got the paperwork you don't have to go with an instructor. Anyway its the first weekend in June, any takers?

Another event, autocross on June 30th. $65 or $55 depending on if you work. Larry and Alan can bring the subarus and get the $55 pricing, provided that is what they compete with lol. My friend went to one of these, typically a 1.5-2 minute course with speeds up to 90 MPH.

Don't think Deb wants me autocrossing the Subie, she loves her ride. We will be on vacation then anyway. Sounds like a fun day, especially the go karts. We really should do that sometime.

We went to Victory Lane Karting at sales meeting one time and had a blast. We did a LeMans event using the team concept, we qualified and then were paired fastest with slowest working our way to the middle. It was a blast.

Kershaw has carts and VIR does. Charlotte may be the most centrally located.

Well I'm taking my dad and Jessie's and gonna get them on the karts. Should be hilarious, though I think Jessie's may be the one doing 30mph in the outside lane.

It was fun, not too many cars, only 51. an srt challenger, corvette, and v6 mustang were what I considered my only competition. All the others were subarus miatas and crxs. Ran 4 runs, first being a timing fault, second was a 84.375, third was 88.514 (hit two cones for +2s each), and fourth was a 82.8 something, but they said I missed a cone somewhere so it was a DNF. Call it 83 seconds then. Kart track was a lot of fun, my father in law was really slow, and my dad cut me off once. Spinning out in those things is crazy. Video to follow soon!

Start out behind my father in law, man he is slow. Finally catch up to my dad on the last two laps. I spin out on the 4th or 5th.

That looks like fun. Looks like you had no warning when you spun out. Seems you had a slightly loose cart.

Nope no warning. Went too hard on the brakes and gone. It was a lot of fun though.
