Not to discredit Steve or Steeda but steve's got a different transmission (gt500 vs mt-82), unless he's not telling us something about a recent purchase. Has Steve2stangs been resurrected?

I think Jason had the Steeda shifter on his gt. IIRC he liked the really short throw but it was noisy.

Steve2stangs will ride again, but he is waiting for the new car to get into dealers so I can see what they look like in person. Presently it is SteveNoStangs, as I haven't even got the red car put back together yet..... I am contemplating changing up the combo a little bit, just don't know if I am willing to roll the dice.

I almost forgot. I have a 50% off coupon for HURST I won at a NMRA event this past year that expires on 3/31 if you want to give them a shot. Message me right away and I'll call them Monday to get things started. I have to be the one to make the purchase so you would just send me the money via Paypal and I'd pay for it and have it shipped to you. Goes based on MSRP so look on their site and let me know if you're interested. I did this for someone with a Flowmaster coupon not too long ago because I had no use for it and won it as well. Can spend up to $600 retail so you could pick up some line locks for pretty cheap too. Just throwing it out there.

For an MGW? If VT doesn't take you up on that I definitely would!

Nope for a hurst. IDK anybody who is 100% happy with the hurst shifter in the mt-82, if they'd at least tried for the reverse lockout it might have been different. But Steve seemed happy with it in his old car.

Dave and I both had the Hurst competition plus in our 08's. They were great with the TR3650 5 speed in those cars.(No reverse lockout needed) I'll never understand how a shifter company dropped the ball so bad when the six speeds came out. Again...I love the Barton and brother Dave is like so many others, ...MGW...Barton...MGW...Barton....???

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I haven't made a move yet on getting a short throw shifter as I was waiting on my tax return to come back in...

Thanks though!
