Depends on the state, IIRC CA started putting emissions controls on as early as 67 (PCV).

Thanks for the help guys. I think I'm going to skip on the Boom tubes just because I would hate to have issues with inspections. I think I'm going to go with Flowmaster outlaws, that way it is still loud but I will technically have a "muffler".

You can still call and check the county you're moving too.

Magnaflow magnapacks might be an option worth putting on your list. I have them on my 2000 and love the sound. GT500Steve had them on his GT and seemed to like them.

Yep. I really liked the way they sounded. Not too much drone, but enough sound to make the point. If I didn't have the converters on though they may have gotten a little loud. Fit and quality was top notch too.

A roush exhaust would sound good too. I have them on mine and absolutely love them!

I like the rousch exhaust but in my opinion it's a little to raspy for my liking. I do have another question for you guys, what exhaust systems have you guys heard with the hot rod cams as well. I think I'm going to get those after I do my exhaust. I know they don't give the best gains but I love the sound of them. What all exhausts have you guys heard with those? I'm still leaning towards flowmaster outlaws as a whole, I heard one with them a couple days ago and I think they sound awesome. Just not sure how they would sound with hot rod cams. Does any particular exhaust sound better with cams then another?

I have the full Bassani exhaust and short tube headers on my car and I think it sounds great. Goes from sounding good to awesome at WOT. I like loud and raspy exhaust though. Pretty deep in normal driving though. Good luck with your search.

Here's mine with the hotrod cams. Kooks longtubes, catted h pipe and magna flow muffler deletes.
