My pups do this too. I've found that humans need to listen to the furry ones when they tell us it's time to stop and play.

I went a different route, I bought the pups life jackets and a new personal floatation device complete with beer holders for the missus and I. It all fits nicely in the back of the Tahoe
we had something like that for floating down the river. Unfortunately they closed off about half the public access points so thw only way to do it is to pay for a drop off and tube rental or be stuck on there for 5+ hours.

We have lots of lakes around here. How's the lake situation in SC?

The three big ones are murray marion and moultrie. Murray is by my house about 20 minutes. IIRC it used to hold the world record for longest man-made earth dam (1.5 miles) and is 400 ft deep in some places, wiki puts it at 14 miles wide and 41 miles long. The other two are shallow and a bigger surface area, full of stumps and alligators but good fishing.

2nd to last layer, i did one more that was about 6" wider on each side.

Some fill work in the upper port corner. Probably the only piece of wood that was left in the boat.

And the transom is in. Still gotta trim a good bit for the keyhole, and tab the rest of it in. I went and ground down the sharp bits tonight, gotta get some more acetone for working on it tomorrow.

Alright after a way too long break I'm back at it. Filling in the stakes with some diagonally ripped 2x2 sections and peanut butter. It takes longer to mix the stuff up than it does to put it on. 1.5 gallons or resin and about 4 quarts of cabosil.

What does filling in the strakes do for you? Strength?

Some strength. The main two things are it fills in the low spots that water would collect, and the freaking stringers and deck edges sit right on top of all four. So it's more like leveling the surface I guess.
