Default Taillight Tint

I just got a 700$ ticket for my tint and I'm looking for a legal way to have the smoked tail lights without getting tickets any help or ideas?

Where in SC are you? That's troubling to hear. I have tinted head and taillights. :-0

To your question, I don't see anyway you can get out of it. Kind of like asking for a legal way to get out of a speeding ticket. If it's illegal... then...

Usually they have a fix it ticket. Have a receipt for getting it removed and they drop the ticket but that was a few years ago. What did you do brake check the cop?

It wasn't $70 by chance with a typo was it?

Oh oh, my taillights are tinted too. That cop must of just got his haircut, new book, new boots, etc. not a way to win friends.

I've never seen tint on the newer ones so I don't know what it looks like, but I'm guessing mine is a whole lot more noticeable

I hate to be the negative one, but if it was dark enough to block the light from your taillights then you deserved the ticket. Again I don't know how dark yours are. I was behind a neon today that had tint so dark you could barely see the light, combine that with sun glare and it was a nightmare.

A light tint that looks great and shows light is fine, just my .02 take it or leave it.
