There are different levels of aggessiveness in clay bars, what lube did you use? Also, what polish and wax did you use?

I used the Meguiars clay bar which comes with their detail spray, used a Meguiars polish, then the HD Poxy. Car looked great until I pulled it out into the sun, then we realized the film that appeared to be in it.... Talked to the guy that owns the Detail Shop in Gastonia and said he would clay bar it and straight line it.... so as soon as he weather breaks I will get it down there

How long did you let the HDPoxy dry before removing? I've noticed that if I don't let it haze over really good it will leave an almost greasy film on the paint.

I actually let Jen's car sit overnight once.

Oh yeah, welcome back to the black car club too! sucka!

HD Poxy can be tough to get off if you put too much on and don't get to it fairly quickly. My experience with it drying too long wasn't good. But I do love the shine it leaves behind.

HD Poxy, huh? Never heard of that. Looks cheap and I'm a sucker for detailing products, maybe I'll try some. I can't wait for the rain this weekend to wash the salt off the road. At least I waxed my car the other weekend when it was 70 so it should all rinse right off.

Anyone know of any good waxes or sealants to use on MATTE wheels? My new Niche Milans are matte black in the barrels and the sides of the spokes. I don't want to use anything on them that would mess up the matte appearance and/or make them look chalky. I have Wheel Wax, but it doesn't say if it's ok for matte surfaces, so I'm assuming it's not. I know Chemical Guys makes a matte version of Jetseal, but that stuff is rather pricey. I'd like to do a wax and a sealant if at all possible.
