What is a good product to use to get water spots out? Daniela's new car has a ton of water spotting and today I tried to get the spots off the rear window. While I made some progress, there's still quite a bit on there. I did two rounds of clay bar and two applications of Meguiar's cleaner wax on the rear window. The window is not super smooth (felt damn near like sandpaper before I started) but there is still obvious spotting. I can't help but wonder how fun it will be to try to tackle the paint...

Yep...you'll have to buff them out.
Just be careful with the product and machine settings, since you can etch the glass just as easily as you can burn thru the clear coat
You could try a magic eraser with a compound in a small test area, then buff it out with a polish or wax

I am going to get him to detail Heather's new Avalon. We worked on it all day, clay barred it, polished it, waxed it and it still looked like a film was on it. Talked to Randy at "The Detail Shop" and said I might have used the wrong clay bar??? I refuse to spend another day on it.... this time I'll pay someone to do it when the weather breaks!!!!

That's what I always thought too, but after we finished the car we pulled it out into the sun and it looked terrible...looked like there was a film down in the paint...this is the first I've heard of different types of clay bars too... I've done my stangs a few times and always had awesome results.... this one has got me puzzled!
