Termi Cobra vs Mach 1

I don't know what you're talking about halogen headlights are awesome but I have halos. Why a dealership? Loan? 05-09 you'll be OK but most of the new edges don't reside at dealerships.
You try going to the auto auction on #1 by the lexington co library?

I 100% agree with what he said about dealerships. I was going to pick up an 03/04 Cobra but I couldnt find a dealer anywhere with a reasonable price for one. Every once in a while you might find a 100-120k mileage mach 1 for sale.

My mom's decision on the dealership I asked to do a loan so we can do a private seller, but she wasn't to fawn of the idea. I do like 11-12 with halos especially blacked out, but its just price for 11-12 and a GT is absolute must.

You've pretty much narrowed it down to a 05-09 then unless your content with waiting a while. After working on the s197 vs the sn95 I'd go with the newer anyway, the new edges are a pain and you'll spend a good chunk of change fixing the stuff you need vs want. On the street these cars can't use much more than 400 hp and the 3v 4.6 will get you there. Don't get me wrong I like the sn95 but it's got its quirks.
If your mom is worried about losing money on a less than honest craigslist er we can be of help. I can come check the car out mechanically and give a second opinion on the price, and other guys outside of Columbia could probably do the same.
Dealers are just their to move cars, If they're providing a warranty it's a little different but they may know less than what the slightly dishonest private seller would even tell you. My .02.

Well I talked to my mom about it she said she feels a bit better about it now. Could I get a phone number or E-mail Address for when the time comes I can let you know if I find something, and see if you could possible come look at it with us?

Before my new 14 v6, I had an 04 GT, and I have to say this new v6 is more impressive to me. It may not have quite as much torque for now, but its ride is way smoother and seems to put better power to the ground, plus more mpg! XD
But I understand what the OP is saying, some of the people on CL are really sketchy, but like Clowe offered, if he is willing to check it out go for it, if you can find somthing decent.

Well the way I see it is, usable DD power vs High track power, honestly I will never need anything above 430 hp to be my daily driver, and I never really plan on taking it to the track, and if I do, it will be just for fun. With full bolt ons and a turbo/super charger you can get mid 400's to the wheels with the v6, which is more than enough for me. Of course the GT's can get well over that, but like I said I just don't need somthing 500rwhp+, for one I am more likely to blow the speed limit sign off the road and get a ticket and/or do somthing stupid with somthing that strong. Now if I wanted to go drag race at the track every other weekend or somthing, then sure, but then again if I wanted to do that, I could just buy a fox body and build it for waaaaay cheaper lol. BUT it is to each their own, the v6 will never sound as good as the v8, but the v8 will never have the mpg the new v6's do, and since I work out of town, it is somthing I need to have.
