Can you believe it....That's what I said. The people that bought it were able to have it redirected to a dealer where they bought it. They bought it July 2008. But I have 1 of 2 and Jack Roush has the other in his museum. I guess he takes it to events every-now-and-then.

My wife and I were actually looking for a 13/14 Shelby. I found a few I liked, like one in Houston TX, but they sold it the day I called. Found one in VA, but after looking closer to the pictures I saw the wheels had curb rash, etc...I was also limited because I was only looking at Deep Impact Blue and Sterling Gray Metallic with Recaro seats and Nav. so the wife and I were talking on the phone and she was surfing Auto Trader for 13/14 Shelbys just to see if we missed anything. Found a couple more, but I just didn't get "The feeling". She said on one of the side ads she saw the P51. She sent me the link while we were on the phone and we were looking at it. I saw it had Press Car for a serial number and signed by Jack Roush 1 of 2 so I started looking for information about it. I always loved that car and when I saw it and started researching info, I got "The feeling" and said that's the one. The wife bought plane tickets for the family to fly down the day after I arrive for R&R to pick it up and drive it home. Right after that we called USAA to get a partial loan. She called the dealer and emailed our flight itinerary to show we were serious. This all took about 45 minutes...LOL...They have the paperwork done and are waiting on us. This whole find is due to the wife.

I'm keeping the Roush exhaust and have been thinking about Roush Coilovers. 98% of the mods you won't even know exists unless you get under the car. well, you will hear the cams..

That's awesome JJ. Would those be 1 & 2 of the production run? 3 being the first production car sold to the public?

They are not part of the production numbers. There were 151 serial numbered cars released in 2008 starting with 1 of 151. These are completely separate. These were used for the press/media events.

I'm sure he will keep all the stock pieces for the inevitable trade-up.
