70 Fastback Trans Am Restomod for sale/trade
$11,500.00 or trade for 05 UP Mustang
I've been working on my 70 fastback for the past several months, but have decided to change direction. It was a 351, 4 speed car orignally. Stop now if you are looking for an original car. I bought the body from South Carolina. It is nearly perfect. It has flares, looks like the 70 Trans Am cars. I have installed a rack & pinion kit. Have NEW front discs & master cyl, and conversion kit. New spindles, and every piece of the suspension & steering is new, front & rear. Subframes tied. Two 9" housings included, one 3.50 limited slip center section. Have a 4 speed toploader, hurst shifter, aluminum bellhousing and hydraulic clutch assembly. All the glass is good, door windows go up and down. Have the front & rear seats, but they need reupholstering. Have a crummy dash pad and a lower dash. No instruments. There is no fuel tank. The tank area is boxed for a fuel cell.
I bought an 87 Notchback 5.0 for the engine, which was (represented to me) as being a 347. It has a nasty cam, 70 mm throttle body, Edlebrock intake, and more. I drove the car, and it smoked the tires like stink, but it didn't run well because it still had the Speed Density computer, and only 1 O2 sensor. I bought a MAF computer and sensor for it, but none of this is in the car.
The plan was to make it a duplicate of my '06 GT 500 "clone".
I have decided to sell this car OR, PREFERABLY, trade it for an 05 UP Mustang. I have an 06 coupe, and really love it, so I'd like to get one to make into a really, irresponsibly evil hotrod.
If anyone has any insight into swapping a 5.0 or 351 into an 05 up Mustang, please share this with me. I'd appreciate any helpful thoughts.
