Ok I think we need to put a twist on this
I'm only counting running vehicals and legal trailers.
Total tires (currently mounted on cars, trucks, trailers atvs basicly anything with 'air' type tires) and batteries on vehicals at our house!

Tires = 66 (this does NOT include mounted studded tire on rims but NOT on a vehicle today) Damn good thing snowmachines don't have tires! lol
Batteries = 21

Pictured are from L-R
79 Blazer, 05 Denali, 78 River Runner, 67 coupe, 06 Vert, 85 SB 4x4, 94 Twin turbo Stealth.

John,
I think it is Todd who has a word for the rear end sticking up. "Stink Bug" I think is the term he used. I woud use the term doodle bug.
Hah. I knew I was going to get blasted on the cougar's stance. It really has settled down some since I took that pic, but yes, lowering blocks may be needed at some point. Nonetheless, I do like a little bit of a rake, and if the car serves to authenticate my status as "white trash at heart", and instantly leads one to play "Sweet Home Alabama" through one's mind, then so be it.

Does your conscience bother you, tell me true...

I didn't blast you or your car. I just gave an opinion that the rear end is too high. I am glad you recognize that it is and have plans to correct it.

Hey Glen, no, I didn't mean to imply that you were seriously knocking the cougar's current setup, or me, personally. The stance will be fixed one way or another as life goes on. I'm thinking the rear leafs will settle down long before I ever get to that 460 swap.

The rear leafs are brand new, from JC Whitney of all places. They just seemed to be the only place that had 5-leafs for the 1968 cougar available right off the shelf. I would rather not use lowering blocks, I would have preferred a 5-leaf mid-eye or reverse-eye setup, in order to get the heavier springs back there while maintaining more or less proper ride height. But, I ended up using whatever I could find.

I think it is a great thing that you offer your opinion without sugarcoating it, at least to those of us who know something about working on their own cars. And, in terms of the 10,000 posts thread, I think it is great that you are offering up all of the knowledge you have accrued over the years, rather than keeping it to youself.

Here is my Daily Driver. I just took the pics because I was about to add to my shaker installation thread on the 2005-07 forum.

If that's directed at me, it's actually Grabber Orange [sm=icon_rock.gif]

Bulldog66, I think MustangPammie is flirting with you. Afterall, you did galliantly defend her on another thread. [sm=smiley2.gif]
