Gonna see if I can't figure out a way to cram another 200 IL6 in there for the fiancee... might have to widen the shock towers [8D]

Here are three pics of my engine bay. Before, during and after. Notice the removal of the shock towers. We replaced the entire front end from the firewall forward, and it now has disk brakes with rack and pinion steering. According to the codes, my car originally had a 289, but when it we purchased it back in 1989 we were told it had a 302 in it, and my dad didn't really know much about all the codes and such. Well, after getting the numbers off the engine, I discovered that it did have a 302 in it, but it was out of a '71 Fairlane. I just got the car back from a 6 month restoration, and since it didn't have the original motor in it anyhow, and we were having problems with the 302, we put a 5.0 HO with matching AOD in it. I think it turned out really nice.

Here's mine. It's empty now, but an FE is ready to drop into the hole, once all the plumbing and electrical is done.
Pretty isn't it

About to pull it all apart again. Moved things about so need to weld up some holes and get fit and finish worked out then to the body work.
