Missing floor pan plugs and such also dont help if you have a leak.

Sounds like you are struggling to leap over a mouse turd. That smell is a rugged, manly smell that any red-blooded American will savor and yes, in fact, wallow around in if given the chance.

If that smell came in a bottle, I'd have the wife dab a little behind her ears and thentake her ona 30 second ride to the moon baby!

+1
That is funny.... I am gonna go create a leak right now.... jk

Huh?

As for thee oil burning questions...not a drop. Not even a puff of smoke at startup. I know this is a manly smell and all, and if I worked in an auto repair shop it would be great, but when you work in an office and are responsible for making a good impression with the company's clients, It isn't exactly the best aroma to have lingering around.

I think I'm going to check out the hood to cowl seal. I'm pretty sure it's missing.

While I love the smell of old cars too much can be overwhelming. If you've got enough of a smell that it sticks in your clothes there's definately a problem and you should be very careful until you get it fixed. Mine's missing the cowlseal (1st on my restore list) and it still doesn't smell that badly. I do only drive it short distanced just to keep her from sitting until I can get her in my shop but I still crack the window.

I get the same smell. It isnt horrible but its def. there. I dont have a hood to cowl seal and there are a few places in the firewall that I need to seal better. I may also have to check for exhaust leaks but I think I am okay there.

btw - the wife isnt a fan either and I have to leave the garage door open for a good 30 minutes before closing it after I pull in

I would also like to hear if the seal helped ,ect..

Any holes in your trunk floor? Could be seeping in there. I get that smell at drive thrus, but having side exhaust is probably the reason, lol.
