The truth is I don't know what I was thinking that day, Generally even in the dead of winter I wear shorts. I went to a camp the previous week so I did not have any clean clothes when I got back so... I had to resort to jeans, can't be all dirty when dancing at the park... On second thought people were probably wondering the same thing WHY IS HE WEARING SO MUCH CLOTHES... even the girls.... BAITED!
Then again
Actually we are just really good friends.... ....

OK. I'll jump in. I'm on the left.
After 16 years of posting on many forums under as many s/ns, I decided to use my real name and image here (I've never done that before). What the heck. I can't get spammed anymore than I am now anyway (anybody want some cheap Canadian meds? I have a link, lol).
I'm a restauranteur from Santa Monica, CA, originally from NYC. My wife of 25 years, Barbara Ann (pictured) is a professional singer/actress, and Debbie is my first car. I learned to drive when I moved to CA at the age of 32.
I'm the second owner and bought a completely original running '69 Grande junker in 1991 for $500. I did my own body-off restoration with the help and knowledge I got from some great people I met at the now defunct Pacific Mustang Club. Debbie has been my daily driver for 17 years.

what a cool story, did you not learn to drive because you lived in NYC?

I grew up seeing people in cars thinking I would never be one. When I moved to CA, I realized I would HAVE to have a car, and it was very exciting. I joined a Mustang club and made buddies with the club technician, who owned 33 stangs in various stages of condition, from a trophy winning '65 GT to junkers. He restored and sold them for a living. He showed me a lot, and I would trade out labor for the stuff I didn't know how to do. IOW, I would change out a water pump in a 66 while he rebuilt my carb. Stuff like that. I wound up working on dozens of classic stangs for years, and restoring my own car at the same time. The original restoration took me 3 years on the weekends. I personally did the drivetrain, suspension, interior, paint, glass etc.
I also had a 1990 5.0 lipstick red convertible but it got totalled by a dentist from Bel Aire who was in a hurry to make a lunch date.

very cool. your car looks very clean and i love what youve done with it.
im in the process of turning my 67 into a daily driver.
i know how the accident stuff is. i used to have a 2001 mustang gt convertible and some lady was kind enough to re arranged my front end.
