I would have suggested on passing based solely on how long the car was native to MI and how the undercarriage looked with more pics. Waffles knows that MI is hard on cars in general much less the "classics". If the car spent most of its life in AZ or some other arid sate (CA_well parts of it) I would have traded. What was the reason for selling yours in the first place Waffles? To start over with something different or to just downsize? I decide based on my first thought and stick with it as I get off track easily esp over something that would be taken in trade. I feel you made a good decision but thats JMO. I voted NO!

Well, I'm sellng it because I can't justify another car right now, and I don't know if she'll appreciate it as much as she says she will once its done. She'd be the kind to be furious with me and the car when it leaves her stranded, instead of understanding thats part of the fun.

I am open to selling or trading, I just am looking to get something I'm happy with. This car would be good for her, but It's not for me... ya dig? Now some cash to give her and a few firearms is the kind of trade that's right up my alley, so I'm hoping that pulls through, cause I could certainly use a AR15 before Bammy gets in and takes away my right to own one.

You don't have an AR yet?

You better take the cash plus guns trade.

I already have a WASR10 Double stack, so I'm golden as far as that goes. I do need the ar though.

Is the '69 Cougar nearby? If yes, I'd go and check it out. The photos alone aren't enough to make a fair assesment of it's condition. If it's in decent shape, I'd go for it. I noticed the Cougar it has power brakes and what looks to be a bracket for A/C.

Cougars always came with discs up front and it was power, of course.
I'm pretty sure the A/C was also standard, even on Eliminators...

You'd be right about the bracket... it is the A/C one but the old York compressor is gone now.

The OP said that the frame rails are bad, so he's gonna pass on that car anyway.
