also any good paint store should be able to get the paint code through their books or the computer.

X2 to what 4reboy said. They SHOULD have the books for all the paint codes. going back that far they most likely wont show the small color sample but will show the name & code.

The place I purchased my paint from had a book of like 30,000 different paint codes from model T's to John Deer tractor's.

Just a bit of humor. If it rains when you just wash the car, then painting probably means a tornado.

Just stopped to visit the car after they picked her up on Tuesday. She's covered with primer and they have been blocking it. They did find a half dozen or so high spots which they are fixing, none of them from my body work. All of them actually appear to be factory original high spots.
