2V carb manual choke question
i recently rebuilt my carb. unfortunately the fast idle cam lever broke in the process. i ended up just having a buddy machine one out of aluminum for me at his shop as this was quicker then waiting for a new one from pony carbs. plus i didnt have the stamping off the carb to give them.
anyway, i put it all back together and it starts up fine and runs decent. i gotta fine tune it a little bit as well as check the timing but thats not my issue.
I cant for the life of me decide if i have the choke set up correctly or not. i had taken a few pictures and it appears correct per the pictures but i did not play with it enough prior to disassembly to know if there should be any tension on the idle cam lever or not.
its pretty much just free floating and to me does not appear to be correct (dont know if it was correct prior to rebuild)
is this correct? i mean the car starts up fine (actually better then before) so its not to much of an issue, i just want to make sure its correct.
does anyone have pictures of their manual chokes or be able to tell me if they can move the idle cam lever whether the car is running or not ?
edit:
oops ment for this to be in the tech section not general.
