Default Replacement Seats for a 66

Thought maybe you guys could help me out with my dilemma.

I have a 66 coupe with a bench seat. Problem is I'm fairly big guy and my legs get wedged between the steering wheel and seat. I'm not partial to the bench and was wondering if there is an easy swap to buckets, original or not?

Easy swap. Either original, later model Mustang, or aftermarket. I'm going with these in my 66 fastback and they bolt right in with the right bracket:

You could always install an aftermarket tilt wheel for about $400 (I love spending other people's money).

Fastsnake ,where are you getting the seats from in the picture? Also, what year late model mustang will work, 79-96; 97-2006?

Hold on to that bench seat though... it's a rarer option than the buckets and some people will pay a decent amount for one.

I think the buckets wont effect how far you are from the seat though, will they? Do they make extensions to the rails to get more leg room or does one have to cut out and reweld the seat riser from the floor board?

I was thinking the same thing.....would sure keep the bench seat in the garage somewhere.

Believe me it's not going anywhere. Only 21,000 built with the bench but I would like to drive the car without cutting the circulation off to my legs....
