I would buy some cheap beater and drive that everyday for at least your first 6 months. Most first time drivers have a wreck with in 6 months don't think you want to wreck your mustang.Plus with a extra car you can spend more time with your mustang apart. Here is a few links you might want to save http://www.7173parts.com/ http://429mustangcougarinfo.50megs.com/ both of those have a ton of info. http://www.ohiomustang.com/ has the most parts for the 71-73 i seen on any site.

Welcome. Car looks good in the picture. Smart to get one that runs that you can work and still be able to drive. Enjoy.

Great choice for your first car! Mine was a 70 coupe, a pos but I loved it. Bought it for $500 and sold it for $250 after many failed attempts at rebuilding the carb. Never ran right after that. Welcome and Good Luck with your new baby.

I live in Bergen County, and one thing I gotta get looked at (by a mechanic I know that works on classics) is its starting, it doesn't "turn over" as good as I would like, so I'm getting it looked at, and I bought a custom radio so kill 2 birds with one stone this weekend hopefully.
