hmmm, i figured that was going to end badly as soon as i saw a motor and trans with no valve covers or exhaust manifolds, sitting freely on the tailgate of a pickup truck

what would he have done if it had started? i would think it would flip off when it started.

I have started a few 200 ILs that way, sitting in my truck or on the ground with a battery and jimmy can for fuel hooked up... it works, just make sure the vibration aint going to knock them off anything.

We started a 460 on a picnic table like that one time.

Worked great until we revved it up and it flipped over and on to the ground.
