Default Good deal

Found a local t5 out of a 90 5.0. He is selling the bell, clutch, pressure, fly, tranny, and everything else for $400. He hasn't got back to me with the mileage yet. Just pulled from his car, everything's good. He is selling his 5.0 and stuff too, I don't feel like going that route though.

Good deal?

I'm getting freakin excited guys, only a few more months until I can get the motor rebuilt and I'm rolling!

Sounds like a pretty good deal. Don't forget the block off plate.

Ah yes, I'm not sure if he had it. There is a Mustang part store 20 mins from the house I can get one.

Sounds like a good deal, but find out the mileage and inspect the flywheel and pressure plate for overheating and cracks. Ask him how second gear in the T5 felt when shifting (any grinding?) and if it ever popped out of gear when really getting on it. This answers two questions. One, second gear is the weak link and two, you will get some insight into the life of the tranny!

It will be stock. And I wont be romping on it, as there is a 8" out back. Later I will make it a monster add a 9" TKO600 and a bunch of other stuff.

For now though it should be fine.
