65, Ivy Green with modern V6 Wheels...
I know most think I'm nuts for considering these wheels, and you may be right.
That being said, I found a quick burnout video of a 65 in the color I will be restoring my car to (Ivy Green), with the modern V6 wheels.

As those of you who have been following my "Wheel Odyssey" know, I am a fan of basically every one of the classic wheels and have been considering all the options. I love regular old TT's. Lately I have been liking the TTII (painted, not chrome) in 16x7. Cragar has some new one pc aluminum S/S's that are pretty cool, but not in 16.
The reason I am considering these V6 wheels is that they are just a bit different. I can't stand them on the new Mustangs, but I like them on old ones for some reason. I really like them on this Ivy Green one. The polished and gun metal look great against it.
I'd like to do 16, so I'm seeing what's out there in that size.

I just saw a set on craigslist for 250 bucks.
I agree that they really don't look all that good on the newer Mustangs. I think its because there is too much classic style in them for the new cars. Its the same reason that a lot of the newer wheels look bad on our classics.
I just noticed your signature. My Mustang is a 1965 San Jose car too. Mine was built in October 1964. When was yours built?
Mine was originally an I6 3 speed. Its now going to be a 302 T5 with 4 wheel GVM disc brakes and a 9 inch rear end.

I think they look better on the classics because the classics require a shorter side wall than the new cars.
My car was a C-Code, 3 spd manual (small chance was a 4 sp, but I doubt it). I don't know if it had any options besides a radio because the door has been swapped to a I6 door. All I have to go by is the VIN on the fenders. I do know it is an alternator car, not generator.
