Question 1966 mustang leak?

I have a leak on my 66 and its in the cowl. How would you repair the leak?

Do you feel like cutting the vent area out? Its not that bad of a job actually, I did a 66 coupe by removing the windsheild and fenders then cutting the top out and drilling the spot welds on the windsheild lip.
Used POR-15 and chopped fiberglass. Brushed out the inside, got all the old caulking out, then applied a coat of POR-15 and laid the fiberglass over the area. You can use it just like resin and just add the chopped fiber like you would if you were using the resin. Go around the collars and coat the entire inside.

Is it the collars that are leaking or do you have leaks in the corners?

Some places sell plastic hat looking repair collars. That will work for a time but either way, once the cancer has set in topside you cant get to it, its only a matter of time till your whole cowl area is rusting out. Your best bet is to cut the top out and fix the area then rustproof it.
