Mr. Shelby will be there, along with his cars (according to the local paper).

What a show.

Every car there was outstanding. Old cars from every decade were there, and every one was a show winner in its own right.

All the Shelby Cobras & Mustangs were parked together in one area on the lawn. 20-25 Shelby Mustangs and 3 or 4 Cobras - real Cobras (not kits).

Also a real 1966 GT-40.

2 300 SL gull-wing Mercedes.

2 Superbirds. One even had a letter from Petty Enterprises confirming the car was driven by Richard Petty.

And the only Tucker Convertible in existance. The sign said the owner would take $5M for the car.

There was a 69 Boss 429 up for auction. I think the reserve was $125,000.

Carroll Shelby was supposed to be there, but did not attend. Due to the Swine Flu scare, his doctors advised him not to go.

Damn. Sounds like it was a heluva show. I would have loved to have seen that Tucker. I'd love to get to one of these, but next year probably won't have quite the same kinda turnout for the American classics. Ah well. You get any good pics?

I took pictures, but mostly of the Mustangs, Cobras, and other muscle cars. The Rolls Royces, Dusenburgs, and stuff like were all perfect cars, but 60's & 70's muscle cars are my cup of tea. I'll try & put them on photobucket tonight.

Honestly, I'm more about the muscle myself. Especially Cobras. And I've had a soft spot for the Tucker ever since I learned of it, so I'd love to see some pics of it if you have any. Really, the European cars don't do much for me either.
