What color is the car?

Im curious though, why you had to use the spacers for the 6x9 speakers. I have 6x9s and I actually mounted them under the package tray and used longer bolts and put the grilles on top.

I don't like the modern speaker grilles. I would make it more stealth looking so you couldn't see the speakers as much. You could mount the speakers under the package tray and find some smooth low profile covers to put on top. I was thinking about doing this to mine.
It's a metallic Teal. I don't have a code for it in any car manufacturer. I wish I knew because it would be a bit easier to re-paint the front valance. I can always take a sample to the auto paint store.

I never thought about mounting from underneath, but now that you mention it, it's a great idea. Thanks

I have the entire MP products interior in my 66 fastback and while I haven't finished the install, the quality is outstanding! What I have is ABS plastic with textured vinyl bonded to the surface. It really looks great. Here are a couple of pictures of one of the panels prior to installing the speakers:
Thanks, You guys are a big help!!!

scoot, that looks really clean, good job! The rear tray really dosent look bad to me. Ive also got the plastic rear tray wih the raised speaker pods.. and plan on picking up the front kick pannels when I get the money for the speakers and a new dash face plate that fits my cd player..

Scootchu,

Just like eveyone else, I think the interior looks great. You did a great job. A few months ago, I did something similar to some of the others and put kickpanels up front for speakers. It matches in great with the interior and is really good for sound quality.

Thanks for sharing the pics!

Scootchu, what is that red handle going into your tranny shifter boot? Do you have an OD tail shaft gear box in there?

The red handle is a reverse lockout. How could I identify if it's an OD tail shaft? I kinda assumed all 4 speeds were actually 3 speeds with OD.

Thanks I have 2 small Polk mid-ranges mounted next to each other on a plate that fits into the dash speaker opening. It brings the sound around to the front. As much as I hate to admit it I will probably get a sub enclosure and amp for the trunk. I already have a 10" driver that will work.
Strictly for classic rock mind you.
