Default 1966 Mustang questions

I cant seem to find the answers to these questions on the internet, maybe some of you have an idea.

Is there any mentionable amount of price difference between the 65 and 66 year model cars if the cars are practically the same condition and rarity otherwise?

How rare was the full length console option on 1966 year Mustangs? Mine has the full console with extra glove box but it seems most Mustangs I see either have no console or a partial one.

Thanks for any replies.

Google searches and asked on two forums and no replies.
I am guessing no one else knows the answers to these questions either.

I am gonna take a stab... looking at the market the cost is not really different between the years. the real difference in early era prices is whether it is a fastback or not... I am of course kinda speculating.... I bought my 66 with an I6 that ran for 3000 it just needed brake work.

There is not an appreciable different in price between 65 and 66s given similar options and condition.

Consoles are common. You pick up either a short length (For AC Cars) or full lenght (non air conditioning) easily at a swap meet, on Ebay, or through several refurbishers. They aren't near as rare as rally pacs

Thanks for the replies.
I am a little surprised that the 65 and 66 models are along the same value. I would have thought the '65 would have brought a premium for being the first production year. I do however think the '66 was an improvement, I like the gas cap and instrument panel better.

well there are 2 types of 65's there are what collector refer to as 64 1/2 cars but really a standard 65 is a much better car because of a few small upgrades like the alternator instead of a generator.

still the price difference is minimal imho

For all practical purposes, zero differences. The 65 and 66 are so similar you have to look at details to tell them apart. The 65 and 66 GT are even more alike.

How rare was the full length console option on 1966 year Mustangs? Mine has the full console with extra glove box but it seems most Mustangs I see either have no console or a partial one.
Less than 10% had a console. It cost $52, or $360 in today's money. At car shows, you see a LOT of consoles, but that's because they get saved when cars get wrecked, and used in another car. They are also completely reproduced.
