I really feel for both the owner of the car and the firefighter. Imagine having something like that happen while you were driving. I'd be crying for the car.

Once he gets the insurance check, he can get that Vette, and probably will, even if he has to carry a car note.

would he really be able to get an insurance check if he gets a payout from the city like they said they were going to do?

iirc you can only do 1 or the other as if you do both its insurance fraud.

My guess is the insurance check will come from the fire department's insurance coverage not his.
