Default New-Be with a leak

I have a 66 coup auto trans 289 V8 When I'm caught in So. Calif. trafic for a while. And then park it, some time latter it leaks a lot of tranmission fluid. This only happens once in a while. Trans seem to work fine, Just have to check level once and a while. It seem like it must be a blow-by because I can not find a leak when I check. Any Ideas?

maybe its the cork tranny pan gasket? swelling up or something. thats my guess. or the orings are broke or not sealing on the dipstick or speedo cable.

Checked for leaks, It just drains after sitting for a pirod of time, As if from the overflow tube, but it's not over filled. And yes the plug was put back on HA,HA And thanks for

Do you have an aftermarket tranny pan? If it is one of those deep ones, it will overflow out the dipstick tube if it gets too hot.

Fakesnakes, No it's standard pan and it seem to happen even if just sitting for a few days, I think it's a dirty or warn bleed valve leaking back into the pan and out the overflow tube below. It only happens once in a while, but does drain a lot of fluid. I was hopping there was somthing to flush the valves out with out removing the tranny?
