Proper way to spend $1500 and my moment of weakness.

not sure if the 4100 is the same as the 2100 but i have 2 aluminum choke arms sitting in a drawer with all my other mustang stuff.
the original plastic one on my carb broke when i was cleaning it up prior to me rebuilding it so i had a guy at work machine one out of aluminum.
they always tend to make extras so he made 3 even thogh i only needed 1.

I would spend the extra 600 bucks on brakes. If the disc brake swap parts are out of your price range then just do a Granada swap. Thats what I did.
As far as the carb goes, I would just get a new one. I agree about Edelbrocks being a good choice. Thats what I have on my car. My experiences with rebuilt ones was never very good.

Ok,,,
If you are looking for a traditioal look in a new carb, you might try one of these new Summit carbs, the story is is that they are Holley 4010 knockoffs, and the Holley 4010 is supposed to be an "improvement" of the Autolite 4100...
Lets just say, for one reason or another, that I know these carbs are affordable, and that they can work very well right out of the box.....

Thanks for the link rmodel on the brake kit. I can't believe I never came across that site before and I was getting tired of looking at incomplete or far too expensive kits. But I called them this morning and I'm going to get that Swap 1 kit. OEM style discs with 4 piston calipers, great price.
I just got a quote back from Pony Carbs and I'm going to get the 4100 rebuilt, going to cost about $100 under a new Edelbrock and I just like the Autolite series, I guess just a preference thing.
Now I just need some suspension and pound out that cowl or cut down that quadrant for the clutch. Plus does anybody happen to have any extra bolts for the t5 shifter handle or know where I can find some? I just broke a bolt I was using for the time being.

I actually get quite a few compliments on my 94. I think if you got one in great condition, a GT, then it wouldn't blend in with other cars. I can tell you that a 94 v6 does blend in with other cars. Yuck!
But I'm glad you are keeping your '67. I think you would regret it later on whether or not you loved the new 94.
You need to make an album or put a link to some pictures in your sig

Careful, if you cut the top of the quadrant down, the cable probably won't ride right, and if you cut the lever below the quadrant the ratio may change enough that you might not have enough travel.
On the 66, putting the dent in the cowl was kind of a b!tch, but once it was done it was done, and it is completely invisible from under the hood....
I advise dropping the pedal out of the way and removing the drivers seat so you can get up under the dash and making the dent...
Like I say, once it is done it is done...
