I thought you could only have power brakes with front discs? Anyway, try searching for a dual bowl master cylinder, they're out there, I got a new one for my car form a mustang parts place down the street.

James W,
Actually there's two lines coming off of the cylinder, one directed to the rear brakes and the other to the front.

thanks

Yeah, that MC is not stock. They want to sell you the jelly jar cause that's the stock setup. That looks like a generic GM master cylinder.

Hi all,
I though I would use this thread instead of a new one....

in my 66 coupe I have a power drums with this kind of master cylinder and booster (it's not stock):

I need to replace it because of leaks... I found new booster and dual bowl master cylinder in rockauto.com (stock for 67-68) - http://info.rockauto.com/Cardone/Det.../506205-01.jpg

Will this work in my 66 ? The pushrod is kinda short...

Or maybe something like this will work better ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Power...#ht_1386wt_941

Please give me some opinions..
Thank You

My 1,

Yes, that Booster is a Aftermarket, non stock item.

Replacing the Master might be a bit challenging, as all stock configurations are not going to function correctly.

This kinda rubs on the Reason to keep this things stock, not deviate from original "Because it is Cheaper"---It will bite you in the B-Hind in the end.

The Other Booster, Master in the Pictures in also a Force fit Booster/master, and those folks might have a same situation perculating.

NO, Zero 65 66 Mustangs were Power Disc Brakes, NONE.

All were Manual, No Booster Disc Brakes, All were 4 Pistons Per Caliper---Not the Single Piston Brakes Folks are Elating as FACTORY BRAKES.
