So a co-worker of mine has a pair of 68s he's finally decided to pull the plug on and get rid of in the near future. Now, they're Torinos rather than Mustangs, but they're tangentially related as they share common engine options, right? Hopefully that's a tenuous enough link to keep this alive for at least a little bit.
One has a 351C-2V (with a new Holley) backed by a T-10 running to an open diff of unknown (to me at this point) ratio. This car runs good, but has some electrical gremlins (turn signal/brake light malfunction) that the owner can't track down which is what led to scrapping the project. This is a GT model.
The second has a 302 that is not running, no transmission (this one got put in the GT), and a traction lock rear with either 3.23 or 3.73 gears in it. No idea if this is a GT or not.
Both have some rust, but apparently the frames are fine. Interiors need work. There's also extra Glass and Trim from a third donor that got scrapped long ago. Don't know if they're coupes or fastbacks.
I'm not trying to sell them for him here, but he'd said he wanted at least a grand for them (the whole package, which I'd have paid him then and there if I had somewhere to work on them), and I'm pretty convinced that 2 almost complete Torinos with solid frames and donor parts from a third are worth more than that. Any ideas? I guess I should mention we're located in SE Texas outside of Houston since geography plays a part in values.

Reason: Pictures added
So, I know threads like this are pretty much worthless without pics, so I had the owner take some shots and send them to me. Obviously the cars have been sitting outside a while. The Blue one apparently has a medium sized dent some where. Not sure where. Anyway, on to the pics.
Well, I appreciate your input guys. I don't know if any of you guys would be at all interested, but when he finally gets around to actually putting them up for sale, I might mention it roundabouts here.
If you were closer I would give him a grand for them. The white one is a parts car unless you can find a quarter for it, not gonna be easy. From experience, when a car sits that long it needs everything inside and out as well as under it rebuilt, replaced, or at the very least cleaned. I've always liked that year Torino, but they arent exactly popular. Similar year Fairlanes are cool too, but not easy to find.
