Default 67 GT fog light upgrade

Is there a brighter replacement bulb for the factory fog lamps? The stock bulbs are more ornamental than functional.

I have the 65 GT fog lights. The bulb I belive is the same. I have asked several Mustang shops etc and the answer is no there is not.

I actually think they work about as good as most newer car's fog lights do.

If you want more light try some Sylvania Xtravision headlights, and a relay setup. It is a very simple modification.

The regular halogen bulbs are something like 35 watts low and 40 high. The Sylvania XV bulbs are 55-65 like the late model capsule bulbs.

The best part is that these bulbs look stock.

The factory switch and wiring was not designed to run halogen bulbs to begin with, and definitely not higher wattage ones.

You can go this route.

I have this.

You should also try aiming all the lights. That is a significant factor.

Also, A higher amp alternator will make all your lights brighter including the tail lights and instrument panel lights.

The relay setup will also make the tail lights a bit brighter because the switch is not carrying the load of the head lights.

Default Headlights

I upgraded to tribar headlights with H4 bulbs and wired in the relay. I just don't think the fog lights cut it.

I can see what you mean. I would like mine to be a little brighter as well. I have looked at quite a few places. I don't think there is anything availble besides the standard bulb.
