Question 1973 Mustang shocks

Hi, I'm just after joining the forum and would like to get some advise. I want to replace the shocks on my '73 Mustang (V8 5.0litre). Wide variety and price on eBay. Car will only be for road use and I want to get the best value (performance and price-wise) that is available. What would you recommend............

I have the Kayaba KYB Gas-A-Just, and I really like the balance of performance, price, and ride comfort. I used to have Konis, but tired of the stiff ride on the crummy roads around here.

I second what 2+2 said about KYB. I have the gas adjust also. I am happy with them. The GR2 is a softer. I don't think that you can get a better shock for the price.

I agree, KYB Gas-A-Justs are hard to beat for the price.

That said, they rode pretty harsh on my (lighter) daily driver '67. I replaced them with some Edelbrocks and I love them on the street. They soak up bumps and potholes much better and still handle great.

Thanks guys. Replaced all shocks with gas-a-just. New coil springs that lower the front by an inch and the change was unbelieveable. 1000% improvement.................
