Default Question about '67 Shelby hoods

I want to use a '67 Shelby front facia and grille on my '67FB project but am wondering if a stock length '67 hood will work with it? I know that he '68's require a different hood but not sure on the '67's. Anyone know for sure?

The 67 Shelby hood is longer than the standard hood of the same year. There are extensions that run forward of the fenders, and alongside the edges of the hood, about an extra 4" if memory serves. The 68 Shelby fender extensions are bridged in the middle, over the grille and in front of the hood. A stock length hood MIGHT work for this, but I'm not certain.

Thank you. That's the info I needed. Not what I wanted to hear, though. I really wanted to use a stock length hood. Bummer.

You can get a stock length 67 Shelby style hood, though that doesn't help with the grille or more aggressive fascia.

My plan was to use the '67 Shelby front facia and outside headlight grille and a fiberglass hood with a 4.5" cowl induction scoop. I may just have whoever I get the hood from build me a Shelby hood with the cowl induction scoop. If everything works the way I envisioned it, the two grille mounted headlight openings will actually be used for air intake for the turbos.
