Default Road Trip! Back in Jersey..

The stang has finally made its way back home after 22 months! Last week the wife and I left Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada and did the 1100 mile drive back to the wonderful state of NJ. Since I also had the 03 Exploder Sport she drove the stang for the first 3 days of the trip while I drove the Exploder. I drove it the 4th day from Boston to NJ while she followed in the Exploder.

No issues until we were about 40 minutes from home in NJ when we sprung a fuel leak from an additional sensor we installed in the fuel tank. Of course this was spotted just after a full tank fillup on the NJ Interstate! I drove like a mad man from about exit 7 (the rest stop) down to exit 3, through town and to our place. That was Saturday and it hasn't moved since. Hopefully I'll have it temporarily fixed for a local cruse night this Wednesday.

Thankfully it waited until we got almost home and not someplace in the middle of nowhere. Aside from that the trip was a lot of fun, loads of thumbs-ups, honking horns, etc from others on the road.

Yeah it was nice to hit the highway and give it a good run over 4 days. Just got the leak fixed (patched) for now until I can pull the tank and fix it properly. Wife simply loves the car but still doesn't feel confident enough just yet to drive it during rush hour. Means I get to play with it until she does.

Yup.. it is the wife's car. Here she is as we're getting ready to leave the hotel in Houlton, ME to head down I-95.

I agree the vinyl roof looks great, I've always loved them. Did you paint your drip rail mouldings green or are they simply not put on yet?

The car looks great, man! Glad to hear it made it in one piece

Ohhh, I'm green with envy. I agree, the black vinyl top looks sexy. Looks like a good fit and finish, you filled all the gaps and from this angle it the lines look crisp and clean. I can only pray that mine turns out as well.
